JUNIOR GOLF ACADEMY:

New for 2011 we would like to introduce the Dorchester Junior
Golf Academy. We offer programs for juniors who are just beginning
the game, right up to the most experienced golfer.

Our Mission is to introduce juniors to the game of golf, teach skills and
etiquette, and help them develop their game throughout their junior golf career.
Golf is a medium to learn respect, honesty, integrity, competitiveness and most important to have fun. We use a combination of drills, lectures, and competition
to teach and coach the game of golf to our juniors. We can make sure that all
of our juniors have equipment that is the right size and weight. With these
practices all of our juniors will learn to love and appreciate the game
that all of our experienced and qualified instructors do.

Our Junior Golf Academy instructors are: Andy Shaw, Kim Shaw,
Mike Olizarevitch, and Chris MacDonald.

Beginner Golf Camps:

Open to juniors ages 6-13
One week camps (9-11:00 am):
Boys Only Camp - July 4-8
Girls only Camp July 11-15
Price: $75.00

Our Beginner golf camps are designed to introduce juniors
to the game and teach fundamental skills and basic golf etiquette. We will
introduce skills such as putting, chipping, and a full swing throughout the week,
in a fun but structured program. On the last day of the week our students
will have the opportunity to go out on the course and play 9 holes
with the skills that they have learned.

Intermediate Program:

Open to juniors ages 10-16
One 1 hour group lesson each week beginning May 14th,
and continuing through to the end of August.
Price: $275.00 (includes lessons each week,
plus an unlimited membership to Dorchester Golf Club)

Our Intermediate Program is designed to further develop the skills
of juniors who already have the basic skills to play the game. In this program
we will be taking the skills that the students already possesses and improving
upon those skills. All aspects of the game will be covered from putting and
chiping, to full swing, and even some course management. This program
will help those juniors who wish to play some competitive golf, but will
also be beneficial to the player who just comes out to enjoy it.
